Siemens 8DA10 Switchgear Order Completed by Factory

This week, the factory completed a significant new order for the first of HV Power's supplied Siemens 8DA10 Switchgear. HV Power wired the LV controls and protection to the Siemens factory-manufactured switchgear, providing local customisation that fit the customers' requirements.

The 8DA10 is a primary switchboard, that can accommodate up to 5000 A load and 11/22 & 33 kV operating voltages. It uses gas-insulated segregated phases. We supplied 4 switchboards with a total of 32 panels. 

As Siemens only NZ VAR Partner, HV Power can purchase the primary parts of medium-voltage switchgear from Siemens and then source and assemble the low-voltage equipment necessary for customer delivery.

While the 8DA10 has been used in NZ for quite some time on major sites, this is the first supply via Siemens new channel (HV Power) to the NZ market.
