This one-day course is aimed at protection technicians wanting to enhance their knowledge and understanding of Siemens transformer differential protection.

The course will cover:

Setting up Siemens 7UT/7SX transformer differential protection
2 and 3 side configurations
Testing differential characteristics (transformer and restricted earth fault)
Transformer differential theory (characteristic calculations, phase compensation)

This course requires participants to bring their own Omicron test sets. Omicron digital licences would be an advantage. (SMV+Goose Configurator, Relay sim test and IED Scout).
