Test blocks and fingers
Test blocks and fingers
We offer Test Blocks and Fingers (Plugs) from RMS Mors Smitt and Siemens (REYROLLE).
RMS 4M200 TEST BLOCK
The RMS 4M200 is made in Australia by RMS Mors Smitt and is compatible with Siemens/Reyrolle 2RMLG01 test block. We now stock the RMS test block, but can indent and supply the Siemens test block if needed. See our resource document "Change of test blocks..." for more details.
The unit we stock is RMS part number 4M200-01 “Test Block 4M200 series. Vertical. 01=VVx open 13-14 on cover removal”.
2RMLG01 TEST BLOCK
We can still supply the REYROLLE 2RMLG01 (official description of "7XG2220-1AA00-0AA0: 2RMLG01 Test Block - Vertical. Open 13-14 on cover removal)"
We also can supply the 2RMLG01B, 2RMLG02, 2RMLG07 and 2RMLG08 versions if needed.
For more advanced applications, where different stages of open/closed is required when inserting a test finger we recommend the RMS Mors Smitt 4M400 series as detailed below.
2RMLB TEST FINGER (TEST PLUG) // 4M220-00
This Test Plug made by RMS is 100% compatible with the REYROLLE 2RMLG01 test block and their 4M200 equivalent. We supply RMS's Test Plug for both as it has finger safe 4 mm banana sockets on the front. We typically hold the 2RMLB-S1 (manual links) in stock for prompt delivery. The Test Plug includes 3 x 75 mm and 4 x 180 mm safety shrouded test leads.
Note that "2RMLB-S1" is being replaced by "4M220-00". It is the same item, just with a new part number.
RMS TEST BLOCK (4M400 Series)
The RMS 4M400 series, offers 14 independent test groups that may be specified in any combination. Each has:
-
- Automatic shorting of the CT circuits – hardwired in the test block – no test links or operator intervention required
- Isolation plug providing sequential circuit isolation in three (3) stages:
- Step 1 – DC supply isolation.
- Step 2 – Automatic CT shorting.
- Step 3 – Circuit isolation.
- Finger-safe 4 mm shrouded banana plugs
- Delivery in 4-6 weeks (for the 4 preconfigured standard arrangements)
4M400 is the 14-circuit test block, and 4M420 is the 14-circuit test finger. The RMS 4M402 series is a 28-circuit test block and 4M422 is a 28-circuit test finger.
One of the clever RMS approaches is that the test block is very simple, with the more complex wiring in the test finger. This is more cost effective as you use a lot more blocks than fingers.
